“In my early professional years I was asking the question: How can I treat, or cure, or change this person? Now I would phrase the question in this way: How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his own personal growth?”

Clinical Consultation for Professionals

What to expect from Consultation

Therapists hold a lot, clinical decisions, emotional complexity, and uncertainty. You don’t have to sort it all out alone.

I’m Jacqueline V Cohen, a licensed professional counselor with over 15 years in private practice. I specialize in maternal mental health, adult ADHD, trauma, and the nuanced challenges that arise when these issues overlap. I offer clinical consultation to therapists who want a space to reflect, get unstuck, or deepen their clinical lens.

Common consultation topics include:

  • Supporting clients with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs)
  • Working with women or birthing people with ADHD
  • Understanding the intersection of ADHD and motherhood
  • Working with late diagnosed ADHD adults
  • Addressing codependency, family dynamics, or trauma
  • Differentiating between PMADs, neurodivergence, and trauma
  • Working with couples navigating ADHD-related dynamics
